On the opening day of the art project HANSEartWORKS exhibition Hanseatic New Gold, a concert will be held in one of the exhibition venues - Riga St. Peter's Church, which, similarly to the concept of the exhibition, forms a musical dialogue between the values of the Hanseatic League then and today.
The concert is intended not only as a dialogue of music but also as a dialogue between the musicians themselves, accompanied by a light scenography created especially for the concert. The concert will feature pieces from Baroque masters Joseph François Salomon (1649–1732), François Couperin (1668–1733), André Campra (1660–1744), Marc-Antoine Charpent (1643- 1704), and Pierre Robert (1618–1699) in tandem with electronic music by DJ Monsta.
The concert will feature violinist Agnese Kanniņa, harpsichordist Gertruda Jerjomenko, tenor Ansis Bētiņš, soprano Jeanne-Marie Lelièvre (France), DJ Monsta and the State Academic Choir Latvija.
The concert will be broadcast live at www.rigahanza.lv.
